Extra Extra! Spirituality, Magick, & Sexuality Oh My!
As of late I've seen so many different reactions from people regarding my Photography. Well, I am here to explain to you why exactly this is something that is very important to me.
At first people were confused as to weather or not I was a Male or Female, so I would play the game and tell them " I am an alien " or " You tell me ". There is a huge stigma, or " bad rap " surrounding most feminine gay men. This is truly mind boggling to me honestly. I mean being gay isn't the easiest thing in this world, just like it's not easy being of a different race or a religion. So why is it that this stereotypical " Gay, Straight-Acting, Male " mostly targets the more feminine gay men?
I really feel strongly on this issue. If you can't accept someone of your own orientation how do you feel that you have the RIGHT to be respected as a " Gay, Straight-Acting, Male " ? Respect is a two way street. There is nothing wrong with wearing makeup. There is nothing wrong with painting your nails. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with experimenting with photography, we're all human, we're all here to learn and grown and we do that through each other.
Back in the 80's Madonna released her Sex Book ! How much hate did she get for that? A coffee table sex book! Major props to Madonna for pushing the barrier and expressing her passion and her art, through pictures, writings, photography, videos, all of it. So why is it that straight men can post pictures of pure, raunchy pornography, " Gay, Straight-Acting Males " can do the same thing and get a standing ovation from the entire world? A gay-feminine male posts photos that are more tasteful than pornography and then they get the hate male, the " what's up with those photos! ". The strange looks, the " I don't know if I want to associate with you anymore". It's just all very mind boggling to me and I'm trying to wrap my head around it but I can't seem to.
Instead of causing separation within our " circles " and " clicks " which should be left in High School, sadly those things are not and leads on into adulthood and the work place even. We should be coming together and enjoying each other for who we are. We should be uniting as one and see beyond all of these stereotypes. Sadly, this isn't happening anytime soon and these " labels ", " clicks ", " circles ", are here to stay.
So, with my photography and with my current project going on, this is my entire point. What's the big deal? What is the actual deal? I myself have NEVER been comfortable with my own body and I'm just now discovering that I can be! With the INCREDIBLE help and MASSIVE amounts of support that POURS in daily, from friends, friends all over the world, alternative modeling agencies, so on and so forth.
All this support is incredible! I never knew it was OK to pose in sexy underwear, with black polish on. I found a book that I've had for quite a few years. The book is quite amazing and I do mention it in my most recent video. Male Nude Now! This book is basically what I'm trying to accomplish, or something along those lines. My message behind all of my photography as of late, my POINT is just that. Be COMFORTABLE in your own skin. You need no one's approval of who you are. You need NO ONE to justify yourself, You need NOBODY to tell you how you're supposed to dress, act, talk, walk or what to wear!
I myself am finally feeling comfortable in my OWN skin. Hence the new photography, the new attitude. Venus and Aphrodite are strong beings! Pan is a very strong being! I do believe this is just the beginning of something INCREDIBLE ! And I can sum it all up in one simple tiny word " ART ". I can also simply state this quote from GaGa which is fabulous. " My art-pop could mean ANYTHING ".
When someone is bearing themselves they are comfortable. it shows me they are powerful people. They aren't afraid to put themselves out there. And no I am not in any way talking about pornography. There is a really LARGE difference between modeling, art, art pop, pop art and porn. If you're looking for porn then you must look elsewhere.
I have found a new creative out let to express myself that much more. A lot of you are digging the new stuff and a lot of you are quite iffy! Well, I'm still me, the same person that uses the Ouija, Channels your guides, does your past life regressions, and the person that also loves each and every single of of his YouTube FRIEND-BASE, yes FRIEND-BASE.... NOT Fan-Base.
I am loving the mixing of sexuality with spirituality! Honoring the divine within yourself, seeing the sacred geometry within a sexual photograph is so profound and astonishing to me! It's empowering to me and also to quite a few others. Many others might not be so open about it but that's who I am and I cannot change that for the life of me.
This is far from over. I feel it's time we take our power back, and that is exactly what Tomorrow's Ritual is all about. Taking our power back! I've also stated in my recent video that I AM in fact, looking for Male and Female Alternative Models. NO NUDITY. You must be 18 Years of age or older. You must be comfortable with being in your own skin. That is the only way I think I'll be able to get this on to paper, into a Coffee-Table-Book. Tasteful, sexual, sensual and erotic, mixed with Spirituality and all with one motive. Honoring the divine within and being comfortable in your own skin.
