A brief conversations with a very amazing guy. He makes Ouija's, they get featured in films, and short films, I'm lucky to have one of his creations in the photo below. Jesse P. Pollack Jesse P. Pollack Well, Ghost Team and another short film I crafted one for asked for matte finish instead of gloss because of how reflective gloss is under studio lights. When I started using matte, I just fell in love with how it instantly made the wood look vintage.
